Ideally you'd use the ear plugs provided and not actually ram one of these in your ears which could cause some form of temporary and possibly permanent ear and hearing damage which would pretty much negate the point of having one but hey, they're your ears, though from the point of avoiding litigation- Don't put one of these in any orifice !
(Though that may make an interesting X-Ray in A&E - Don't go for the "I fell out of bed and landed on my iPod" excuse)
